1970 cutlass instructions for column to floor wiring connectionss
None of the wiring in the column changes. If you are really asking about the neutral safety switch, it depends on whether or not you plan to retain the backdrive linkage on the trans. If you do, that doesn't change either.
Ok, I was under the impression that on a 1970 had to be wired for the back up lights to function. Also when I bought the car it didn't come with a center console floor shifter. I have the harness to wire it up but I am not sure if there is connections under the dash.
The point is that if the car already has the column-mounted NSS and the backdrive linkage, there's no wiring needed. You don't HAVE to duplicate the 1970 configuration, you can mimic the later cars with less work.
