The wiper motor on my 69 Cutlass is connected and working, when I push the wash button it does the clicking sound, but no fluid. I installed the washer pump rebuild kit but still no fluid. I'll figure that out but my question is I have 2 additional wires in the area and wonder what they are for? I don'
t have anything not working to my knowledge.
This is from the 68 A body wiring sticky, the colors match my 69 so it should be the same. The wiper pump solenoid and wiper motor are both supplied power from the same yellow wire on a 20 amp fuse. The wiper motor gets its ground thru either black or light blue depending on the speed selected. The darker blue provides the ground for the pump solenoid.
If the motor runs, abd you can hear the solenoid engage and the pump click, either the pump hasn’t primed yet, or the hoses have leaks or clogged filters, or the pump itself is defective.
As for the extra wires, who knows what has been added to the car over the past 50 plus years? Every owner add their own unique personal addition, hopefully it’s done correctly. Trace the wires to the other end, maybe you can figure out what it’s purpose is.
I see a green wire with a 1/4 female quick disconnect terminal. Does the car have a aftermarket tach? Green is a common tach signal wire color, since it’s in the general location of the distributor that’s a possibility. Is the car equipped with HEI? The 1/4 terminal is a perfect fit for a HEI tach connection

my 69 requires me to prime the hose from the washer reservoir container to the pump - lol - by taking a mouthful of fresh water and blowing water through the tube from the reservoir to the pump while some keeps pushing the button on the dash -.. until it squirts - then it holds the prime & works fine ...
