Wipers not working

My 70 Cutlass was in a shop for a while, I had a new ignition switch put in, ignition works fine but I just realized it doesn’t go to the back position. Would this have anything to do with the wiper motor not working? It looks like the original motor and was slow the last time I used it

No, that has nothing to do with the wiper motor.

First you need to determine if you have power and the ground triggers from the wiper switch. If both are present then your issue is related internally to the motor itself.

To clarify, the wiper switch does not provide power to the wiper motor - only ground. The power comes from the yellow wire that plugs into the motor - this wire is hot at all times with the key in the RUN position.

Thanks, seems like the yellow was loose, I put a tester on it and they started working

It's even easier if you open the CSM BEFORE the laptop...
