Help with headlight replacement

I'm trying to replace my headlights but I can't figure out how to get the spring loaded ring back around the bulb... Is there some trick to it? It's driving me nuts!!

You have to stretch the spring/ring assy and then snap the ring in place with the headlight sitting correctly in the bucket.
