94 olds cutlass convertible

interior lights stuck on, disconnected door handle wire on door. Is there some kind of relay or switch on the door lock itself?

Yes there is a switch on the latch itself with a two wire plug lead about 12 inches long... Did you also check the door jamb switch on the A-Pillar, as well as the dash light dimmer switch... The dimmer switch, in the full on position will keep the interior lights on...

jamb switch was the first spot I checked. Will take door panel off next. Any ideas where to find the part would be helpful. Tahnks

IIRC, It's part of the latch... I just sold a LH door latch to an individual with a 93 Convertible, but I don't recall how exactly the switch was mounted to the latch... Worse case, just unplug the door switch, I believe the interior lights will still function with the jamb switch...
