Yellow or blue?

Im not to worried about my car being stolen as I am one of my brothers taking it out for a joy ride. Id like to install a dead switch so the car wont start when its flipped.. Id just hide the keys but the spare set is always around incase of a fire or something of that sort. Screw the important papers and family pictures, just get my car out of there!

Ayways my question to you guys is what freaking wire do i put the toggle switch on?!

the red yellow and black wires run from the top of the coil back into the bottom of the coil, the only wire that trails off into the cab of the car is the blue one, but the yellow wire has something spliced into it which leads me to believe its my hot wire. Which one is it yellow or blue or am i not even in the right spot!?

let me hear it!

Most use the purple wire to the solenoid. Just make sure all your connections are as clean as possible, solder and use heat shrink. Breaking into that wire, especially if you're adding a long length of wire, could contribute to a hot start problem as you're adding resistance to an already long circuit.

I agree - put the kill switch inline with the starter solenoid, which is fed by the BIG purple wires at the neutral start switch (base of the steery column).
If you control the ignition only, he may run the starter until the battery is dead...
