Wiring my 1968 Cutlass S

I got this thing completely dismantled so putting the pieces back together is proving a challenge for me and my mechanic... a couple of questions if you don't mind... if anyone has a better wiring diagram I'd appreciate it, email me directly if you would rather dwenzel67@gmail.com... an explanation on the taillights (both sides are cut) so just to know if both are running lights and out doubles as break etc... obviously the reverse is in the bumper... Thanks for your help!!!!

I recommend that you go to, and join, www.wildaboutcars.com. It's free. And once you explore the site, you will find that you can download, for free, the complete assembly manual for the '68 Cutlass/4-4-2. The quality of this download is far superior to what you can buy on the market. Chapter 12 of the assembly manual gives a pretty detailed rundown of where the various wiring harnesses go. I would also cross-reference to Chapter 12 of the Chassis Service Manual, also available for free download from wildaboutcars.com, particularly with regards to the colors of the wires in the harness, where those wires go and what they do.
