Be careful to compare the 1967 and 68 harnesses. I tried a similar swap, using a 1970 lamp and engine harness on my 69 442. The wires are all the same, but their positions in the firewall connector are NOT!

Who'da thunk it?

Took a while with both CSMs open to the wiring diagrams to swap all the wires to the correct holes.
