wiring diagram 72 cutlass supreme

I'm looking to do a re-wire and need all the help I can get. If anybody here has any experience doing projects of this scale and/or have the necessary diagrams I'd greatly appreciate a response, Thx!

Wiring diagrams should be in your Chassis Service Manual (power windows and locks are in the Fisher Body Manual).

If you don't have these, they are available on eBay and from literature dealers.

It will cost more to purchase factory replacement harnesses. But speaking from experience generic aftermarket ones can be much more painful to install. I've done two cars, bumper to bumper with the generic setups because I didn't want to spend the money on factory style repop ones. Whatever you decide don't get in a hurry, it will be tedious at times and will not be a task you can knock out in a Saturday.

Here is a 70, I think it's pretty close for a 72:

I think opg has me covered with the wiring harnesses, but to be completely honest this is a daunting task I'd rather NOT do. Unfortunately , the shops I've contacted here in Hawaii haven't exactly given me a warm and fuzzy, so I'm out of options.

The wiring diagrams for the 70 and 71 models are very close to the 72 model. there are a couple areas, where they differ. I am install american autowire harnesses in my 72 convertible. It is a pain, but the insulation on my original wires was cracking. It is pricy, but they actually fit!

That will not be an original service manual (as far as I know), but a photocopied reproduction.

You can probably get an original cheaper, and it will be easier to use.

71 wiring diagram

Here is a '71 wiring diagram, it's pretty much the same as '72 without the seat belt sensors and warning light.
