Wiper switch for 62 98

Wipers aren't working and switch doesn't seem to click on any setting.
Is there a source for new or does anyone rebuild them?

Thanks

The correct switch is P/N 1993607. Search that number on ebay and Google. NOS ones do come up. (and I stole this photo from ebay, so not my little devil...)

I replaced my switch and it turned out to be a motor problem. You might want to investigate further.

Can I have your old switch? 😁

Yeah I've only had her for 2 days so haven't trouble shot anything even it it turns out not being the switch I'm thinking as hard as it seems to find parts like these having a spare or two isn't a bad idea.

You have verified the wiper fuse is good?

I have not.
The switch just feels bad. Doesn't click on or off. Not sure it's even supposed to.
So yeah I have some troubleshooting to do.
Thanks

You called that one.
The **** was loose thats why it didn't feel like it was doing anything.
Got 12 volts to the motor but nothing happens.
Did you replace or repair your motor?

The wiper motor operates off ground/s provided by the switch.

Ok
When the switch is off and I check power at the motor there is no power. Switch on we have power so I believe it's functioning as it should or is there more to it?

I took the cover off my motor and cleaned the old grease out of it. That stuff gums up after many years and things stop moving. Needs a good cleaning and re-lubing. It's a pain, because you've got to pull the wiper arms and cowling to get at the bolts to remove the motor.

All was going well. Got motor out. Wasn't too bad.
Everything looked brand new inside so I decided to pop the cover off the motor itself. Very very bad idea.

I have no idea how I'm gonna get these bushings back around the rotor.
🤢

There are instructions in the service manual, it involves using paper clips bent to a certain shape to hold the brushes back.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't have gotten into the motor. I was referring to the mechanism.

I managed to get it back together with some blue painters tape and a lot of luck.

Now I need to figure out how to test it properly.

Cleaned all the old grease out of the motor and got it working!
High and low.

Washer pump engages but doesn't pump.
Pretty sure the orifices on the hose connector are clogged.

Still want to replace the switch. Have a search saved on Ebay.
If anyone sees one please let me know.

Thanks for all the replies.
