What does this wire go to-78 Salon

This green wire is cut but the blue one goes down towards the trans. It has a 4 speed standard trans. I DO NOT have the rally gauges so it's not for the tach! What are both of the wires for?

It doesn't look stock because I don't think oldsmobile passed a wire through the firewall in that manner. Is there any way for you to trace that green wire under the dash in the passenger compartment to it's source? I am not familiar with the later model engines like that one. Is that a 307? and is that the oil pressure sender next to the dizzy?

That's not an Olds motor. Note that the distributor passes through the intake, as in an SBC. The 305 was an option in 1978. Also, Olds did use grommets like that to pass wires through the firewall for some options.

I don't have any wires coming out there at all, possable it's for cruise controll or a aftermarket gauge / radio hack job.
