What is this??

Trying to figure out what this thing is. Its jumped straight off the battery and whenever I even slightly move the steering shaft it clicks. Any help on what this is and what wires feed into it?

DING! DING! DING! We have a winner. It's supposed to be bolted to the inside of the fender. The wiring looks half-fast. No telling what is shorting out in your steering column, but I bet it's the horn. Do your horns work at all.

That makes total sense. My sport steering wheel doesnt have a horn button so thats probably what was shorting out and clicking and then sometimes sticking on and making a high pitched whine noise (probably the horns). Anyway wasnt planning on keeping the horns anyway so its all being ditched. Thanks for the help!

That's surprising... Doesn't Iowa have state inspection requirements where horns are required to pass a safety inspection???

Yeah, how else would you attract someone's attention when you are waving "the driving finger" at them?

Get an old 6v horn and wire it to 12v, it will sound an awful ruckus for a few blasts, then die.
