62 dynamic heater motor
Hi Dave when you put the key in the ignition and turn to the right does the heater fan motor turn on or is it off . When you start the car does the heater fan motor turn on ? At the heater fan motor there is a switch or pot I don't know what it is called it is controlled be vacuum vacuum actuater with no vacuum no continuity with vacuum I get continuity and the motor runs. Here is the problem prior to me replacing vacuum hose and bad vacuum actuators when I would put the key in the ignition and turn to the right the heater fan motor would run at a very low speed. Now I turn the key to the right no fan when I put vacuum to the actuator I have control at the switch low and high here are some pictures hope this helps. Thanks Steve
My heater fan is off with the key in ACC or RUN mode unless/until I turn the fan switch to on.
I may be wrong but: My car, a 1962 Dynamic 88,has controls for BOTH the heater and summer ventilation. The two MAY be tied together in terms of the the fan. The ventilation control has LOW/MED/MAX buttons. If any of those are depressed the fan should run, when/even if the heater fan switch is set to off?
