Top Switch Connector

Top Switch Connector
Does anybody have a source for the electrical connector that connects to the convertible top switch? I know I can buy the sub harness with this connector as part of the assembly, but I would like to build my own wiring harnesses and need just the connector. Is the OEM connector part of the Packard wiring family? Here's some pics of the connector.

Those are special connectors, like the power window switch connectors. Even if you can find the shell, you won't find the pin receivers. Well, if you want to keep digging, see if you can find anything on the window switch hardware. The pin/receiver setup is definitely the same. No idea if the shell is the same as any of the window switches though.
Best chance is to get that little sub-harness with just the connector and the three leads (holy smokes is that expensive), cut the wires to a friendly length and integrate into your harness.
I had to do that with a ton of unique connectors. Sometimes I even noted in my wiring diagrams when the wires changed colors. Sometimes I didn't.....

Actually, the terminals are the easy part. The shell is unique to the top switch. Obviously someone makes them, since it comes with the harness, but they won't sell it separately.

Joe’s right that the plastic shell will be the tricky part. Check out the Auveco catalog for “Packard 56” electrical connectors and you might just luck out.
If that fails, eBay and the boneyards are your fall back parts sources.

Matt & Joe:
Thanks for the connector/terminal info. I think I can drill out the plastic welds on the existing connector housing and rebuild it with new terminals from one of these sources. I love this forum! Everyone is so helpful and the combined knowledge base can be beat.
