tic tac clock broken ?

Ralley pak clock, I tried to re-set the time, pulled upward on the stem, turned the hands a little, tried again to get another turn, and it quit turning the wheel, felt like nothing was there, so I lifted on it again and the stem came out. I'm thinking of putting some glue on the stem and pushing it back in , but what if it still won't catch the gear, or if the gear is broke? Do I call the supplier ? (Parts Place) or, who is the original manufactor ?.........what do I do now ????????

Sounds like the tic-toc lost its tack...

Where did the gauge come from and how long since it was bought? Have the receipt? If a repro from the parts place, they ~might~ help if within warranty period. If in warranty, do NOT try to fix it unless they refuse to help you.

If out of warranty, you should pull the gauge and figure out how to get the shaft to stay in.
Glue in the wrong places can gum the thing up beyond repair.

you're probabley right, I'll go look my folder (pile) of receipts, check on the date then call Parts Place........ what if the warrenty was used up before it got out of the shop ? That'll be my luck.

It's not that bad. The warranty usually voids once you connect power...
If under a year since you got it, then you might have a chance.

the Parts Place said to mail it to them so they could see what was wrong. He didn't say they would fix it for free.... I took it apart down to the needles on the clock, then decided not to go any further, in case I broke or bent one of the needles..... so it's going in the mail today. I'm just glade it's the outside gage and not the one in middle !
