Tach wiring

I installed an MSD Pro-Billet distributor in my 68 442 with a 400, rally pack and a tic tok tach. It has a gray wire to connect to the tach lead. I started my restoration several years ago and I'm not sure where to connect this wire. Does it toconnect the green wire coming from the wiring harness near where the connections for the wiper are?

Isn't the gray wire for lighting?

The new distributor has 4 wires coming from it red, orange, black and gray. The instructions are good red to + side of coil, orange to - side of coil, black to ground and gray to tach lead. My problem is I don't know what color wire the tach lead is in the cars harness. I a have a green wire that is very close the the coil in the same run that the coil wires come out of, is this the tach lead? If not what color is the tach lead from the car where can I find it and what does the green wire go to? I appreciate your help.
