Starter

Hello fellow olds lovers...........

I have a question about the starter on my 72 Cutlass supreme. There are 3 wires coming from my starter.Where do they go? I know one goes straight to the positive on the battery.Where do the other 2 go? I have one going to the horn relay on the firewall. Is that a place to where it can go?

My car is drawing alot of power during start up and i'm trying to figure out why?

Thanks guys!!!!!!!

If I am reading my shop manual correctly, One goes to the battery, one goes to the horn relay junction block, and one goes to the coil.

That's a great looking car by the way. Since I'm old school, I would have to change those wheels for something more traditional, but otherwise I think you got a real beauty there.

3 wires

one small one goes to the ignition (if you jump this one to the large hot lead it should spin the starter) and the othe goes to the coil ( this one gives a full 12 volts to points during cranking only. normally the are resisted)
