Does this look familiar to anyone?

I'm guessing a new one is hundreds of dollars. And yes, these were used on Rover 215s.

 

What timeframe? Guessing before electronic ignition became common here?

Next time you're on AACA General a guy is having 64 Cad electrical problems and has posted a pic of what looks like an ignition amp. Plug doesn't look GM to me. Have a look and see what you think.

 

Well, it had to have been after GM came out with HEI, since that's a GM HEI module inside that box. Here's another photo.



Actually, that thread on AACA is what sent me searching for photos of ignition amplifier boxes. Unfortunately, I didn't find the one he posted.
