rally pack gauge resistors
rally pack gauge resistors
So I have questions about resistors on a 1968 rally pack gauge cluster.
I am rewiring my dash because well very little worked. Old harness out (lots of splices lots of duct tape), new harness in except for the gauges. Had some loose pins, so I took the gauges and speedo out for repair... someone has clearly been in here before. So having gone to all this trouble, I want to make sure I do this right, and hopefully only the one time.
So I have 3 questions about the resistors with snap on plastic covers on the back of the rally pack:
Are they location specific?
What should their values be?
and
During installation, should the tiny lock washers go between the resistor and the circuit board, or between the nut and the resistor? Does it even matter?
On a related note, what type of black paint would you all recommend for the gauge bezels, all three of mine have some of the black rubbed through with the silver showing? see pic
