Rally pack on a 72 442 350

Hi all,
I read through the rally pack sticky and unless I missed it I’m looking for the point on the distributor to hook the wire to.
on my distributor there seems to be an empty space with tach marked on it. This may be stupid simple but I don’t want to blow anything up.

I'm assuming your looking for where to connect the tach? If so, it would be the terminal on the hei distributor marked tach.

So I’m finishing the wiring up on the rally pack and have everything all set and I’m wondering the brown wire from the coil goes to the back of the tack marked coil but the braided cable also has an eyelet on it where does that go
and I’m assuming the orange wire I just cut the terminal off and put an eyelet on there as well

At some point, someone installed and HEI distributor in your car.....The braided cable with the eyelet was for the coil bracket back when your car had a points distributor.

The braided part is connected to ground at the fuse side only. The other side of the braid is connected to nothing.

I was assuming it is grounded but with the little length provided where is it supposed to go? Is there a specific location?

so am I correct in attaching the one end to the Space labeled tach ? And can I mount the ground strap to the guage mounts, I assume they are grounded with the metal straps that are present?
