radio and 8 track player repair and restoration

Hey classic OLDS enthusiasts, I am repairing and restoring 64-77 Buick Olds Pontiac Delco radios and 8 track players full time now. I just retired after 39 years as an electrical engineer in the semiconductor industry. I know these analog radios very well. I offer 7-10 day turnaround on most repairs with a 10 year warranty on all work performed. I have my own lab here at my house in Scottsdale and over 150 delco AM and AMFM radios if anyone needs a restored radio. I can also add bluetooth to any radio that works well and keeps the original fit and function and electronics of the stock radio. Send me a message and I'll get you in the que for a fast repair. Thanks, Jim

I sent three players of questionable condition to him that fit basically 1968 - 1972 Cutlass's. When they came back, they played so good, I almost cried. It has been a long time since I heard one play this well. No fading in and out, no channel bleed over, no starting off slow then finally playing, and it played at the correct perfect speed plus I could not get over how much more volume and clarity it had. These players are getting old and are beyond the "replace the belts and clean the head and you are good to go" treatment. He does much more to them to get them back on the road.

The communication by text was great. He does excellent work. If your player is not working right, send it to Jim. Just follow his easy directions and everybody will be enjoying their 8 track players again very soon.

Thank you again for your excellent repair and quick service. Good luck with your next repair.

I see this is an older post. Are you still repairing or restoring original Oldsmobile AM FM radios? I am local, and can deliver my radio to your location.

Thanks, Mike

There is a business listing under Bizapedia for a business named "Muscle Car Audio LLC" is Scottsdale AZ. The business was formed in 2010. Jim Shepard is listed as the owner. Information was last refreshed on bizapedia on April 24, 2026. Mailing address is 11052 E Butherus Dr Scottsdale AZ 85255.

I have no interest or knowledge of the business. But I do have an AM radio I would like gone through. I may contact him.
