Power Window Info neeeded 71 442

I'm installing used factory power windows in my 71 442. Can someone confirm my understanding about the circuit breaker/fuse panel factory practice. Am I correct thinking if you only had power windows the power feed goes directly to the 20 amp accessory spot in the fuse panel? If you had power windows in conjunction with power seats, or power top, the factory used a separate circuit breaker mounted by the accessory grommet on the firewall?

Also, the relay is mounted behind the kick panel. I can't see any factory dimples for mounting Are they there? Does it mount in the metal section facing the front of the car, or does it mount another way? Thanks.

My '70 Cutlass with pwr windows has the firewall mounted cct breaker feeding the power relay behind the kick panel. The relay mounts on the front panel and there should be two dimples for the mounting screws. There is not much room in there so you would have to use a right angle drill and short bit. Then starting the screws would be very tedious and needing a lot of patience! Pwr circuits usually have a thirty or forty amp breaker. Have fun.

Thanks for the info. The harness I have has the relay within the harness and no connection out to a circuit breaker. Is your 70 a hardtop? I am wondering if there are no other power options, ie., no top, seat or tailgate or locks, just windows, does the power feed directly from the fuse box in the accessory plug, and if so, is there the 20 amp fuse there or a 40 amp circuit breaker?
I pulled the kick panel off and saw two dimples which I drilled and mounted the relay. No issues.

Brian,
Do you have a 71 or 72 Fisher Body Manual? There's a picture of the junction block and procedures for checking PW circuit on Page 15-5

The PW wiring schematic is on page 15-10 (figure 15-1)
