Power seat problems...

'79 Olds 98 sedan. Motor whirrs when the button is pushed but no movement in any direction. Seat also has Power Recliner option (separate button on seat bottom, not on the armrest) which DOES work. Thoughts?

The seat rails are rusted solid.

If the motor runs but there's no movement, usually the clutch or clutch solenoid are bad, or wiring thereto.

Thanks fellows... I lean towards the latter possibility as there is no trace of rust in the under-seat structure, or anywhere else for that matter on this never winter-driven car, and the back-rest recliner works just fine, I assume that is a separate circuit and mechanism. Need to get a Fisher body FSM, don't believe it's covered in the chassis manual.
