The 1974 parts book calls for 53".

2.342 8907374 cable, bat to starter, 53" - 71 3200, 3600 4200, 4800 350 eng, F85 all w/ 455 eng

Matter of fact that's the part number it shows for most 1968-71 A-body cars, all engines, all transmissions. Exceptions are: 68 455 THM except Toro, 69 F85 synchromesh trans except 442 which is 8907373, 64" long.

Hope it helps.

Thanks rocket traider.
The automatic cable would go along the fender and through the tube to the starter. The manual trans goes over the driver side rocker cover and around the back . it looks to be a shorter route compared to the automatics.
Thanks
