Passenger Door Power Window

Purchased a 1980 442 if you can believe it. Vin verifies it's real but it sat for quite a while. It has power windows. The passenger widow will roll down around 1/4 then just stop making a horrible noise when it does, like grinding or chattering plastic vibration. Before I take the door panel off, does anyone have a lead what I should look for? It will roll back up fine which is good.
Thanks for anyone's time.

Sounds like the plastic drive gear is stripped, possibly because it stalls out due to a broken roller. You'll have to disassemble the door to find out for sure. Get a Fisher Body Manual before you delve into this.
