No Stop Lights, 65 Jetstar 88 Convertible

After sitting about 4 years I finally bring the jetstar out for a car show tomorrow, had to replace brake cylinder and bleed the brakes.

Now here is my problem, I don't have any brake stop lights. I need to know what bulbs go in the upper and lower lights, are the book at the auto store didn't go back that far.

I know it's the sympton of the brake switch but it is late and I can't see if I can get one till tomorrow so in the mean time I am checking bulbs.

Thanks.

Car takes 1157 clear bulbs. You may also find 2057 but 1157 will be fine and are what it came with.

Bulbs are a good place to start, but also check the STOP fuse.

There is some adjustment on the brake light switch. With brake pedal pushed down a little, put it in its clip and then pull the brake pedal all the way back toward the seat. That should set the adjustment.

Thanks rocketraider, well we are good for bulbs, all four are 1157 and all four are working. I thought maybe two were 2057 and picked up a pack just in case. Already checked all the fuses under the dash, I am going to pop them all out tomorrow and check for good connection. The brake light switch is adjusted fine. Found a store open late and picked up a switch for seven bucks. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again!

Forgot to mention, when I put on my turn signals, left is fine only one light flashes, but the right both upper and lower lights are flashing.

OK, got up this morning to find out what turn signals are supposed to be flashing in tail lights, left upper flashes but on the right side now nothing is flashing even in the dash. Where is the flasher box located? Looks like a bunch of parts are going to be replaced that needed replacing anyway!
