newbie/1958 98 power windows won't go up

Hey, I'm a new guy here and would appreciate any tips about how to get my power windows back up on 1958 Olds 98 4-door hardtop. Sometimes they are a little balky but always go up. This time they went part way up and stopped. I checked fuse. It looks Ok. I'm not very mechanical so bear with me please. I'm sick about it because I have a super nice original interior and don't want critters getting in. Fortunately it is in a garage but still...I live in Kansas and we had 71 degrees and sunshine, so that's why I had the windows down...Thanks Tim

Thumbs up 1958 98 power windows, seat working again!

Intrepid mechanic friend found the culprits: burned switch on lower firewall, worn wire under carpet.
