Instrument light

Have a bulb believe 194 froze in place so need to replace Socket/pigtail. Know where i can get ?

1971 442
-Handbook calls out 194 for the dash courtesy lights (speedo -clock). in 71 these were 2 prong - contact - single filament
-Finally got the burned out bulb out and its a 90 IE (ie??). Assume the 90 is a replacement for the 194. Over the years the contacts had cupped and thus the reason not rotating.
-Found some on Amazon

Can you easily get to the socket and twist the glass off the bulb? Then take a small screw driver and bend bulb metal shell in and use a needle nose plyers to twist it out.

The 194 bulb is all glass wedge base style, so it should be easy to remove.

Perhaps you actually have a different bulb?

Exactly. I've never seen a metal shell on a 194 - they snap in/out.

Every automotive parts store carries 194 bulbs & most hardware stores carry them. They're ~0.75 cents/each.

What vehicle is this for? As Kenneth mentioned, this may not be a 194. Knowing the vehicle could assist.

There are dozens of sockets for 194 bulbs. A photo would help you get useful info.

Clearly more question marks will help...

Is THIS the socket? If so, type cutlass instrument lamp socket into Google. They're sold pretty much everywhere.
