"Hi" Fan Speed out ...

The High Fan position on my 1978 Delta 350 is now dead, the other speeds are fine ..
I thought there was a seperate fuse or breaker for "Hi" , but looking in the owners manual I only see a listing for one 25A heater/AC blade fuse...
Anyone have any knowledge?

Do you have A/C? In my 69 there is a relay/resistor on the airbox under the dash that if it goes bad you lose the low and medium fan speeds.

I don't know about '78, but for earlier years, the main schematic only shows the non-A/C system. You have to go to the A/C section for the right diagrams.

Probably the high-speed fuse or relay is bad.

Yes, I have AC, & "thought" there was a high speed fuse or relay, but there's no mention in the owners manual of a Fuse or breaker for "high" ...
Any ideas where I'd find it ?

high speed fuse...

I had a '78 Toro and if I remember right, there was a separate fuse for high speed on the fan motor. I think it was an inline fuse out under the hood, near the firewall--but that's been several years ago.

I've slept a few times since then...

On the older cars it's in the line between the big horn relay terminal and the high-fan relay, along the back of the engine.

Don't know about the newer cars, though.

Look inside the car passenger side under the dash. If it's the same type of setup as the 69 it would be on the top of the air box. I don't know if you can get to it without removing some stuff but you should be able to at least feel for it up there.
