Heater control lamp replacement??
With tips from this excellent forum, I successfully removed and repaired my tired cluster printed circuit board. All indicator and back-light lamps are back and burning bright!!
Okay that's surgery so I'm embarrassed to admit I'm challenged by two remaining bulbs. The heater control has a single lamp socket that is metal, seen from the back. I discovered it doesn't twist or pull out as expected. Thought I'd ask before going gorilla on it. How do you access the heater lamp bulb?
The other mystery I noticed is a lamp in the clock's back. I checked the bulb, ground etc. but it never lights. The cluster surrounding lamps light up the clock area fine. Was this to light the clock even more? Was this also on the dimmer circuit?

are you talking about the light pointed downward with a "tube" design (bulb is on bottom end) it shines through a green tinted circle on the dash panel fascia toward the cigarette lighter...
and im not sure about the heater lamp.

oops, I identified the car in a prior post about the cluster but forgot on this one. It's a 1967 Holiday. So, the heater is simple fan control with the basic three sliders. The lamp back lights a small block indicating; "hot/cold, defrost/floor, etc" for the sliders.
I'll setup a signature to prevent being stupid.
