69 Cutlass Dash Clock Lamp Socket Replacement

I recently bought a dash clock for my 1969 cutlass since it came with a clock delete. The clock came without lamp sockets and I figured out that it is very hard to impossible to find those. In case anybody is dealing with the same problem here is a pretty nice solution:

I bought the following lamp socket: http://www.oldtimerbedarf.de/Lampenf...oliert-2-polig

The Page is in German but the socket is around 5$ and should also be available at your local VW or Porsche dealer; part numbers are:
VW: 113 957 397
Porsche: 99963200910

Second you need a standard rubber grommet which fits the diameter of the socket and the clock. In my case the socket sits tight and is not moving while driving.

Third just connect one port of the socket to ground and the other to 12V light switch.

From the front there is no difference in lighting to standard lighting of the speedo and the fuel gauge.

I will add some pics later!

Greeting from Germany

They aren't hard to find over here. I've got about a hundred of them.

Ok...thank you for the tip

I did not find them online either, maybe spent not enough time...but maybe the thread will help someone from Europe!

Greetings
