Ground Strap location

I have a ground from the battery to the engine block. I've tried to find the ground strap location for the block to the body in my CSM but could not locate it. I believe it goes from the passenger side cylinder head to the firewall somewhere. Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Is that ground strap actually on the block or is it on the head? It appears to be on the head. I've got to install the ground strap on my '69 but it's pretty difficult reaching down in there. I've been trying to find a threaded hole in the block but haven't seen it thus yet!

Shows to be on the head, But anywhere on the engine will work. The main ground is on the front of the engine.

Is there suppose to be a small ground wire from the negative battery clamp to the radiator support? Do you know the thickness? 8 gauge or the copper braided wire?

Looks like 10 or 12 gauge.

I removed the ground strap on the passenger side head to firewall on my 76 a few years ago, just wondering if I should clean it up and reinstall it ? Is it necessary?
Thanks
Eric

I haven't had any issues as far as I know, not much of a cassett radio to worry about or other electronics, but I will clean it up and put it back on next weekend .
Good thing this thread came up.
Thanks to RROLDSX and Eric!!!

X2 Oldscutlass, the large ground from the pass head to the firewall is the ground connection to all the dashboard grounds!

While some cars find good grounds in other ways others don't and the ways they find ground are through shifter linkage, cables, etc. GM as Joe P puts it will try and save money every chance they get, yet that tiny little ground strap was installed. It must have been important.

The ground from the core support to the battery helps the headlights. Otherwise their ground return is back through the fenders, cowl, main ground strap, engine, battery.

Normally fairly small, 14/16ga. I have a bad habit of braiding whatever smaller scraps I have on hand to make something decent.
