My gen light stays on when the car is running, checked the output voltage of alternator & regulator and it about 12.7 - 14 volts when running. Looked in the service manual and it said to check the gen light relay. Anyone know where I would find that or has anyone ever heard of that?

 

It's part of the regulator.

I'd follow the diagnosis instructions in the Chassis Service Manual to figure it out.

In all likelihood, it's the regulator, though.

Does the lite come on with key on engine off?

 

Only when running
