My instrument cluster is on the fritz! My fuel gauge reads empty, battery dead,temp maxed, and oil not existent. Now after driving for awhile or just plain luck they work correctly, sometimes i even tap on the dash and they will come back. does this happen to anyone else? Is it just a loose connection somewhere? Easy to fix/inspect? I also have a bouncing spedo.

 

This is a common issue on G-body El Caminos as well. Seems there is 1 plug / connector that carries everything... that connection becomes weak. You can go to http://www.elcaminocentral.com/index.php as a guest and do some searches there. You'll see some suggestions there for a fix...
