does anybody know the cable color and location for the pin on a cutlass 72 fuel gauge? mine shows pass F .i already installed a new sender unit , ground the cable ,but nothing...
now i would like to ground the gauge dirct to the pin to see if the gauge is working. But which pin is it?does anybody knows?
The fuel gauge wire to the tank sender is a tan colored, 20 awg wire. The pin position on the back of the gauge will depend on which gauges you have installed; standard, idiot light or the rally pack gauges. See pic below.
Note that the connector has a 6-2 split and the orientation of the connector is flipped for the two gauge options.
Thanx Brother ! It was exactly the one u said it will. Strangely a brown color cable. But when I ground the pin. The gauge goes to E . I pulled a new cable and now the fuel gauge works perfectly! Thanx again for the help . Eric
