Do I need a new switch?

Good morning,

I've been having an issue on my 72 Supreme. Sometimes the buzzer is on when I have removed the key, when I open the door. I wiggle or smack the ignition and it stops. I decided to try and fix this.
I have the steering wheel off, and was making a part to compress the plate to remove the clip. I got stuck when I broke a tap. When I get the plate off, my book says to remove a couple other parts and tells how to remove the switch. I looked at the Fusick catalog some and I'm not sure I will be able to replace the ignition switch. Can they be repaired? Or does someone know a good source? Will I have to re-key the ignition/doors?
Any other tips are immensely appreciated.

edited: I did find the switch in the catalog, p/n D1404B. The online picture didn't look right, maybe I didn't look at the right one. Same questions about fixing it instead. I would like to get the sport wheel while I'm at it. Any good used ones for sale here?
Jeff

hmmm.

Anyway, I got to the last step, removing the switch but I can't seem to depress the spring latch right because the lock is not coming out. I have the key in the run position like my book says, and I can feel the latch give some, seems like it slips off the metal strip right away, fiddled with it for awhile and can't seem to get it. Maybe someone will take pity on me and tell me the trick. Meanwhile I will look for a better diagram.

After some more fiddling, the switch did come out. At that point I wasn't sure what else to do, so I put it all back together and although I haven't driven the car yet, the buzzer doesn't come on at all now. I guess I fixed it! As long as no one leaves the courtesy light on, it should be fine.

I would have just pulled the pink and black wire off the horn relay and been done with it.
