Delco 2700 Cassette player in 1985 Delta 88

Hi I have a 1985 delta 88. I've had it for about 2 years now and the previous owner installed an aftermarket cd player. And now I want to reinstall an original Delco cassette player. I bought it off ebay and it came out of another delta 88. My question is how or where does it get grounded? There's an L shape bracket in the back under the dash above the ashtray. Does it get grounded to that? Because there's a clip with a bolt sticking out on the back of the stereo. Not sure if that's just for mounting it in the back or if it's a ground? If not any idea where the ground runs from and to? Because there is a black ground wire coming from the wiring harness that says ground. I'm sorry im not sure at all.Any help is much appreciated. Because problem is I had it hooked up and I get horrible engine whine coming through when cassette plays. The whine rises and falls when accelerating. And I read somewhere that grounding could have something to do with it.

It's grounded possibly 3 different ways, through the antenna, ground wire, and mounting points. You may be able to buy a power line filter or you have a filter bad in the unit.
