Dash panel

Hi Everyone, I have an Olds 1967 98 and I’m having trouble finding the issue with my dash lights? I don’t have any, I check all fuses they all were ok, reach up and pulled 3 light out from around the speedometer and ran a bench test and they all lite up so now I’m stumped, any help would appreciated. Thanks

Do the taillights work? The taillight circuit provides power to the dash lights. Blown fuse for the taillights=no dash lights.

Get a common 12 volt test light. Pull the headlight switch, check for power on both sides of the dash light fuse. Make sure the dash reostate is turned all the way up.

Is the headlight switch **** turned all the way counterclockwise?

With **** turned full CCW, you should have 12V on both sides of the INST LPS fuse. If only on one side fuse is blown or clips may be corroded. If no power on either side the dash lights rheostat on the headlight switch is suspect.
