D o o r b u z z e r!!!

OK I know something about electrical but not a lot the door buzzer needs to be unhooked it’s a nightmare every time I open the drivers door the neighbors can hear it down the block it’s so loud.

I also noticed that the horn relay is where the buzzer is coming from is it two into one and can you deactivate the door buzzer without losing the light switch in the jam if you know what I mean

Unplug the green wire from the horn relay and the door buzzer will be disconnected and everything else will still work. I found that on my car back in 1980 and it's been unplugged ever since then.

^^THIS. My dad disconnected that back in '74 just after he acquired my car from his neighbor.

Sorry for the incorrect wire color - was going from memory and got it wrong. You are correct the red / black stripe wire is for the key buzzer. The green wire goes to the horns. The third wire goes to the steering wheel horn switch.

I thought it was a pink/black stripe wire for the door buzzer. The green and black are for the horns.

Pink and Red are the same color to me, especially when looking at 50 year old faded wires.

next is how to adjust kick down on my turbo 350 trans.
it kicks down too much while cruising 45-50 hits 1st gear I want it to hit 2nd not 1st
well it hits 2nd but if I step on it too much it goes to 1st you know what I mean.
no cable is it electric? Vacuum?

Your T350 kick down is cable operated. It should be engaged close to wot. It should not shift down to 1st at 45-50mph.

I didn’t see a cable, is it located on the driver side of the carb? Or is it at the gas pedal?

The kickdown cable forces a downshift based on engine RPM and vehicle speed (MPH). The speed (MPH) that it kicks down will depend upon the rear gear ratio so it will be different with different rear gears. My car with a 2.56 rear gear would downshift to 1st at 50 MPH then upshift at almost 60 MPH (4800 RPM). Now with 3.23 rear gears the downshift and upshift RPM is the same but the vehicle speed (MPH) is lower.

So depending upon what rear gears your car has (standard no-cost equipment is 2.56:1), the downshift to 1st at 45-50 MPH may be correct operation.

the kickdown goes from the gas pedal directly into the transmission by the transmission dipstick tube, Tim
