courtesy light stays on

Hello good people. I have a 1967 cutlass and the courtesy lights wont turn off. I tested the drivers door switch and its good. Im going to test the passenger side tomorrow. If both switches are good what other than a bad ground can make them not turn off? When I say bad ground Im referring to the switch being grounded to the door when tightened down

There's a white wire grounded somewhere. Retrace your actions. You either pinched it somewhere, or the wire is loose in a door jamb, under the dash, etc, grounding out. Headlight switch could be bad; unplug it, and see if the light goes out.
