Convertible Top Fuse/Breaker

1971 Cutlass Supreme. I've been checking all the wiring, to be sure all stays well. Would like to get this straight & understand it correctly. I bought the car last summer. I have the Factory Manual & blew up the wiring diagram. Also looked in the Assembly Manual & didn't see a specific fuse or location for my power top, or power windows. It appears there is a fusible link in the wire to the interior (fuse box, lights, ign. sw.). The line to the highspeed blower (A/C car) should have it's in line fuse. Is that circuit breaker located on the firewall behind the power brake the one I'm looking for? Does it "fuse" both the top & windows? Is the relay above the brake master on firewall power top relay? Window relay is behind left kick panel I believe.

The circuit breaker is located on the firewall below and outboard of the brake booster, above the main firewall harness connector. It is fed with a wire from the horn relay junction block and the wire from the breaker passes through a multi-hole firewall grommet.

The breaker diagram is located in the PIM. A search of my username w/ keyword breaker will most likely reveal the thread(s) I’ve posted such diagram. But, as I said it’s located in the PIM (some refer to as the FAM).

Thank you both. I'll research the Assembly Manual again. What started me on this mission is that I noticed there was a taped connection where I believe the inline fuse for the A/C high speed blower should be. I just want to verify that all the car's circuits are properly fused. I once bought a rebuilt salvage Mark VII that had the sunroof hotwired w/o a fuse. I discovered this the hard way. Burnt wires. Now I double check new purchases. Thanks again.

Specifically in section 12, Electrical.

Thanks again for confirming everything. I also saw a picture of behind the dash power top wiring harness. It's not a schematic though. I assume that power feed through the accessory grommet goes to the power top's switch in the dash. Then 2 wires (up & down) run back to the top's pump. Wire from circuit breaker into the car looks like it's been hot. I ordered one of those "snake" cameras to better see behind things. Picture above shows/says the power windows also feed off that firewall breaker. Strange, I thought mine were powered from the 3rd tab down (ign.) on my fuse panel by a heavy wire running to the power window relay behind the kick panel. I'll just pull off the wire to confirm it. Those wires seem OK. Now I need to reinstall a fuse in the feed wire from the horn relay junction to the blower A/C high speed relay. It is missing entirely, & there's a taped over joint in the wire. Slowly beginning to understand the car thoroughly.

Here's a poor picture of my fuse block. There is nothing in the top right slot. No tabs even. Top left has a fuse I can't quite read. I think it should be accessory or heater. Waiting for my camera. I'd need to remove the left side A/C duct to get at the panel better. That big wire is the one I think leads to the windows. It's not white, that's a reflection. Thanks again. Gaining a better understanding all the time.

Color code(s) for wiring harness from front harness to rear harness is contained in the Fisher Body Service Manual which demonstrates wiring to convertible top motor(s).

Also in the PIM Section 12.

Thanks everyone, I think I have it figured out. I found the circuit breaker behind the brake booster. It has 2 wires leading into the car. One goes to my power top switch, & the other to the power window relay. That relay (behind the left kick panel) is triggered by that red wire on the fuse block ign. terminal. One of those 2 wires looks like it was overheated & melted a little bit. I will investigate further (everything works) & replace it if needed. I'll also install a fuse in line for the one missing in the blower feed to the blower relay located above the brake booster. I conclude the power top has no relay. That should do it & make the car safe again.
