Columm to console shift swap -column wiring different?

Swapped to oem floor auto shift from column and car wont start. Gauge lamps light but no crank. Dash to column wiring connector slightly different. Last 2 dash wires are tan and the mating green, column wires are red and black.

Are these incompatible causing a no-start?

column is a floor shift tilt auto coming from column shift tilt.

That is the turn signal harness. You need to find a 2-wire connector attached to the 2 purple wires circled in red that plugged into the neutral safety switch on the old column. If it is plugged in correctly on the new column, the switch/ linkage may need adjusted. Did you hook the back drive linkage up going from the trans to the new column to allow the neutral safety switch and reverse light switch to work? Even with a floor shifter, The neutral safety switch and reverse light switch along with the park ignition interlock are all still on the steering column.

Yes NSS is appearing adjusted right - backdrive connected properly and locks in park. All 3 NSS connections plugged in properly that i can tell. I might try a different one tho to rule out a switch issue.

If you unplug the 2-wire purple connector and jump it with a short peice of wire, that will tell you if the NSS is the problem. If the car starts with the plug "jumped" it is the NSS switch or its adjustment. If it still does not crank, the problem is elsewhere. Another place to look is the ignition switch adjustment. With a test light, you should see the purple wire get power when you turn the switch to the crank position. If neither purple wire gets power during cranking, the issue is with the ignition switch, its adjustment, or its wiring.

Had time to revisit a bit ago and I guess the 2x purple connector just needed a tweak - I pulled it for a jumper test, car cranked right up. Reinstalled it without doing anything else to the NSS and now it cranks over perfectly in Park or Neutral. Problem appearing solved. Rest of conversion complete once I reinstall the driver side bucket.
