Cigar lighter wire
Can the orange cigar wire be used for power source for HEI or electric choke?Prefer not to keep it plugged into lighter.Car is a 1966 cutlass.

It can not be used for the HEI. It has voltage all the time. There is an orange wire that is switched 12v under the hood near the voltage regulator
