Check engine stays on won’t display codes
Hey fam,
I have an 88 cutlass supreme with a check engine light that stays on. I put an ODB1 scanner AND a paperclip on the A and B ports as the manual says, but still I don’t get any codes to read. The light just stays on no matter what I do. Any ideas for how to get the codes? I read somewhere that the “lamp driver module wiring” may have gone bad, but I wanted to get a second opinion.
thoughts?

Read the Chassis Service Manual and follow the troubleshooting steps for the light staying on. Yes, the lamp driver module going bad is one possible cause, but there are others. Don't simply replace parts - do real troubleshooting.
