Blower Motor Ground

So, while the engine is out I took the inner fenders and EVAP box out to clean them up and paint them. I had purchased an EVAP box second hand and had planned on just refinishing that one and swapping everything over at once, but something told me to verify fitment as the "new" one is from a 71 or 72. The biggest difference I saw (other than color) was that the blower motor hose & port off to the side were different, as well as the ground wiring was different between the two. The later one had some kind of condenser (looking like) and was wired in a bit differently.

Noting the differences, I went ahead and decided to just refinish my original box (for sale ad coming soon for the 72) but I noticed the ground wire isn't connected to anything. In my infinite knowledge, no I didint take a picture before taking everything apart initially, but here's where I'm at now.

Where does the ground go?

Thanks.

Given the ring terminal, I'd say it goes to one of the motor mounting screws

I wondered that myself, but didn't see a piece laying around like it'd snapped off. The end looked a bit suspect though for sure.

On the AC cars, the blower motor is mounted to the fiberglass evap housing. You need this ground strap from the motor frame to the cowl to provide a ground path for the blower motor.
