New to the forum. Just picked up a 1970 Cutlass Supreme, 350 AT. The PO had cut the battery cables about 6 inches or so from the battery. Need to replace both cables. Will be upgrading to 2 gauge. I know they were top mount but not sure of the overall length and if they both need the extra wire. I'm guessing the negative would need it for a chasis ground near the radiator/core support. Not sure about the positive. Had a 72 Chevelle and a 69 Cutlass but it's been many years since working on those! Sorry. Thanks.

 

The negative cable is P/N 8907370 but the parts book doesn't list a length for that one. Be aware that the negative cable attaches to the block below the PS pump bracket.
