American auto wire

Done done and done... My electrical has bothered me since ive had this car, nafter some thought ive decidedbthat itbwould be best for me to gut all the old wires and start fresh with brand new harnesses, doing the dash engine and front lights

Has anyone used american wire?

How hard can it be? haha

I think he best thing that I did with my restoration was to replace the wiring harnesses in my car. I replaced all of the harneses except the one in the trunk. Trying to trouble shoot the wiring was just taking up too much time and the previous owner had butcherd it so bad that practically nothing worked. While I did use M&H Electric for my harnesses, I have heard very positive experiences that others have had with American Autowire.

Type in American Autowire in the search box above and look through those various posts. LOTS of happy customers!
AAW is available through Rockauto, Fusicks, and several other suppliers.

Haven't used them, but new, fresh wires wll make a WORLD of difference. Old, crusty wires may look good, but time takes its toll on the insulation. Good luck though, if you use them let us know how it turns out.

I will for sure, theres not much electrical left in my car. No air no heat no cargo lights or anything like that... Just a after market head unit oil gas water temp batt mph and tach gauges is it...

The harness will work even if im not hooking everything up right?

Theres so manny dead end wires behind my dash its a joke.. Some still with current running thru them im prepared to buy all new harnesses but still scared to rip all of this wiring out.. Waiting on that service manual before i touch anything..

Most of the resto vendors sell the American Auto Wire products, but you can also order directly from them, and get a big catalog too.All sorts of cool stuff in there.

I just recently used M&H for a trunk harness and I'm VERY satisfied with their work and price.

American Autowire ..Top Drawer...So many people are afraid of wiring. They make it so EASY.Everything falls right in place..I have had the pleasure of working with Don Bock..he has solved so many problems. He is approachable..Thats all you can ask for.
