"Accessory" ignition switch
Hello!
-Who knows why I can not rotate the ignition switch to the left.
-What does the manual mean with "ON" position. There is no "ON" written on the ignition switch.
Sorry for this "dumb" questions but I´m a newbie with my first classic car and not an native english speaker.
Thank you,

On is the first click to the right and routes voltage through the ignition. Accessory is the first click to the left and does not route voltage throught he ignition. If the switch or key is worn then you may have to jiggle it and lube the key lightly.

The four positions on the ignition switch are, left to right, ACC-OFF-ON-START. (This is true for later, column-mounted ignition switches as well.) You turn the key all the way to right to start the motor, pushing against the spring in order to hold the key in the start position. When the car starts and you let go, the key returns and stays in the ON position.
It is possible to put the car in the ON position without starting the engine by turning it one click to the right but not turning it far enough to push against the spring and engage the starter to start the motor, as oldcutlass says. In the ON position you should be able to operate the radio, which also runs in the ACC position, as well as things which don't work in the ACC position, like the windshield wipers and the heater fan motor.
If you cannot rotate the key to the left to the ACC position and operate, say, the radio, then, yes, as oldcutlass says, you have a worn key or a problem with the ignition switch itself.
