Is it possible to exchange the gas/oil gauge in a 73 supreme for the a gauge from a 73 443? The wiring pattern looks different.

If you are wanting to go from an idiot light to a guage cluster from the same year car (I am assuming you want to put a 73 442 guage cluster in your 73 Supreme that has lights correct?) then what you have to do is get a wiring diagram for your year of car and rearrange the wires in your connector. You will also have to get different senders for your oil and temp. For the oil you will need a brass elbow that goes into the block and the new sender will connect to that. The temp switch will need to be changed too. The new one will have a button connector instead of a spade connector but your plug will still work on it, just turn it over and slide the connector onto the button. It's really a piece of cake nothing has to be cut. Use a small nail or sturdy paper clip to dislodge the wires in the connector when you go to rearrange them. Good luck!
