70 cutlass Power trunk

I have the parts to add a power trunk to my 70 cutlass sx conv. I have the correct 70 Cutlass button, jumper wire in dash and solenoid from a 70 Lemans. It all seems to bolt up fine. I am just curious when I run the wire from the front to the back and inside the trunk lid- does the wire go on the right (passenger) inside of the trunk lid and attach to the right hand trunk hinge or is it the left side? Right makes sense based on the fact that the wire pigtail coming out of the solenoid goes toward the right side? Any idea how the factory did it? I can only find the pics in the assembly manual for the glovebox and button area, not the trunk.

The logical choice is not always the correct method - esp with GM.
I know for sure the 72 Toro routes it on the left side.
Since that is a power wire, it was most likely run in the big main wiring channel from the trunk to under the dash to prevent damage to it. It runs under the left floorpans.

This is a rare option you are installing. Some pictures of the procedure would be way cool!

It goes down the right side. I had one in a 70 post coupe.
